Re: Snapped stud situation - I have melted 3 titanium drill bits, destroyed a brand new set of stud extractors and used a whole can of -45° penetrating fluid and it's still in there. Going to replace the whole intake plenum. |

Great looking Alfa.
How did you melt the drill bits? Were you using lubricant?
Best thing I found was a set of left hand drill bits, lots of lube and slow speed and patience.

Used lubricant and initially kept speed low but the bolt is as hard as hell. I've managed to drill out half the depth of the bolt but it still stripped the ridges off the left hand bolt extractor tips
