Guess who didn't do the basics and check continuity before hitting 'buy'. Idiot.
New wiper motor arrived, was fitted immediately and. . . nothing ðŸ˜
No blown fuses and I've already replaced the column stalks, so I suspect the wiring is compromised somewhere along its run (Or I have bought a dead motor).
Will break out the multi-meter and have a poke around later.

Right. Windscreen wipers now working. After loads of feckin'about (including stripping down and cleaning the ignition switch and lots of electrical testing), I discovered, with all the parts swapping around, that I'd reinstalled my faulty column stalks! I also finished and sprayed up my extended slam panel that I started years ago and painted the logo on my Supercharger. Once I fit the freshly painted cam cover and refit my 3 point brace it should look passable once again, under the bonnet at least!

I've taken some 'Current' photo's of Ronin, to shame myself into sorting him out this year. Not pretty. Nearly 3 years of standing idol has taken it's toll 😞 Well, that's a bit tidier now! Those yellow leads are going to have to go though!

Reinsured for the princely premium of £106! (Through Sterling Insurance. Limited 3k mile policy, all mods declared, no no-claims bonus - before anyone asks).
Need to get an MoT slot now.

I've just had to pay $490 for 1000 miles coverage in the Mazda. And our sq5 and mini JCW cost us $1250. For 6 months. Bastard.

The Citroën DS is £112 (No tax or MoT required) and the Alfa GTV Cup V6 was £218 this year. Sorry. If it makes you feel any better, Ronin just tried to set himself on fire. 10 amp fuse completely melted in the drivers footwell fuse box and filled the car with rather acrid smoke. Ffs.

£106 is cheap, I've just renewed with Lancaster for £280 with a 10k mileage limit (including commuting) and agreed valuation/roadside assistance.

That's pretty good tbh. It helps that I'm getting on a bit and don't use the car for commuting.

Finally got my horn to work (faulty relay - thankfully had a spare in my bits box) and the fog light (initially wired up the switch back to front and permanently on, by accident - let the magic smoke out of the fusebox and totally melted the fuse)!
Wipers only work at one speed (but at least they work).
Engine decided all of a sudden it was going to idle at 1500rpm, which no doubt annoyed my neighboyrs for the few days it took to diagnose the problem. Turns out I had the P-clip holding the throttle cable to the side of the intake manifold done up too tight and it wasn't allowing the throttle cable to release fully.
I now have to settle the start-up fuelling and get it MoT'd
Oh, and the passenger side window cable has snapped whilst the drivers side winder mechanism has seized. Great.
This is the last time I leave the car standing idle for an extended period 🤬

Having had a good hunt around the Megasquirt forums it appeared both my priming PW and cranking PW values were waaaaaaaaaaaaaay off. Now corrected and the car starts a lot better.
Reset base idle too and now it's nice and steady.
MoT booked for Friday lunchtime.😬

Glad you've cleaned this up and got it running again :-) What will you do the the interior now ? Cheers fella. Need to pull the dash and recover it again and the doorcards are shot too, so I need some new blank ones to recover with my diamond quilt leather (etsy?). Still on the lookout for some decent leather/bucket seats as well. I've two sets of bucket seats still in my garage but they are in poor shape, so may see if I can retrim those. My budget is non-existent these days though.

"Necessity is the mother of invention" MoT day today and I realised that I have removed and binned my "baby teeth" tie down brackets. No idea what this random part I have previously removed and thrown in the 'bit's box' is . . . but today it's a number plate mounting bracket! 🤣

Well I have a running, taxed car and MoT, but have now broken a rear spring (Pothole). Bugger.
No idea what springs were fitted, but they are Bilstein shocks so that should narrow it down.
Need to get that sorted before more road based fun can be had so will be paying a visit to Wheels in Motion at Chesham to get it done.
Would love to use this as an excuse to fit Meister R coilovers, but I need to spend some money on my Citroën and hope to still have enough cash left after that for Ronins respray.
