As a contrast to the pessimism of the previous thread I started it seems only right to start this one as well.
Whats cheered you up today?
I had a great drive in the 5 yesterday round some good country roads I didn't realise were close to me, really reinvigorated my love for the car and put me back on track looking for ways to pour money into it...

I had an interview with a company in the US for a permanent job. It went really well. Now I'm drinking a beer.

My car is finally working properly again! It's sooooo good to drive. Like tootling along 2-3000rpm, tum ti tum, road opens out, and then just wiiiiind it out, all the way, irregal speeds, change gear, repeat, laugh and chuckle all the way back down the poppy/bangy overrun.
Happy days.
Life is good.

I accidentally got a job ... What! You hav actually got a proper job? I need to sit down! My department got disbanded today with lots of redundancies. Somehow I made it through with a new role. Shocked but happy. I think.

Fitted my clutch and flywheel, discovered I've lost about 3.5kg of flywheel weight, much more than anticipated. Happy days.

Had a really productive weekend and a blissfully car free one at that. Braved IKEA, bought some furniture for the lounge, got that all built and on the wall and the TV is now on the wall with all cables hidden! Looks brilliant. Then did some gardening and the garden looks a million times better, having had no attention in 6 months. Massive thanks to my Dad for the gardening (he has every power tool known to man, living the dream) and to my wife's cousin too for having the patience of a saint when wiring up TVs and fixing things level. Whoop! Bit achy this morning...

Broke my deadlift personal best - 120KGs. I'm a touch over 130KGs, and I have had spinal fusion, so I think I'm reaching the safety limits, but canoe, I'm happy with the result.
