As I understand it (and I'm not a doctor!)... You can sometimes pop them back in, sometimes you need a small operation (no big deal though). Once they pop they don't stop so eventually you will need the op. This one wasn't too bad and went home ok, next time will be op time.

Visited the doc and discussed a recent bloodtest / medication dosage. Bloodtest was perfect. Medication can be reduced. Chuffed.

Spent a half day at Santa Pod yesterday, pretending like an mx5 is a fast car. It isn't (15 seconds?) but it was still great fun.
Would recommend a cheap drag day to anyone. The drag thing is mildly fun/interesting, but as with all car things there is much nice machinery to look at/listen to, and decent car folks to talk to.
The wrude bois in their modified corsas beating your much loved mx5 is hard to stomach though, I'll admit. I maintain that mine would still be faster round an autosolo....
I'm going to fettle some more, check thoroughly for boost leaks and practice burnouts before booking the next one :-)

Serviced my 5 yesterday and nothing went wrong! Didn't even spill oil everywhere when draining the sump.

I made this  Rev counter/shift light for my Mini. Will replace the ashtray (which is where I harvested the chrome bits from to make it look authentic). Light bits harvested from an old central speedo for that retro look. Arduino that runs it was harvested from a work project for that sweet cheapness ... |

Lovely shift light! Keeping it retro is really ideal in a car like a mini. I'd love something similar in my mk1. Probably just two or three lights though to keep it simple: blue, then red.

Enjoying the sunshine on the bank holiday and then I remembered I also have tomorrow off, result. Time to find the 5 in the mess that is my garage and enjoy the extra day.

Now lying on a Premier inn bed - TGI Fridays for tea soon, Warner Bros Harry Potter tour tomorrow and the rest of the week off
