I've already worked there for nine months, over summer and winter. Worst I saw was -26°C, and I survived, so I'm not too concerned about weather. Avoid the stout? They had some of the best beers I've had; craft brewing has massively taken off. And yes, there are probably better sports teams to get behind. Twins are off to a scorching start... Braver man than I am with the weather! I had a stout in a pub that scarred me for life. The rest of the local beers were fantastic though

My mum just drove through France over the last two days and didn't see any queues for fuel or have any problems filling up. Remember the news always makes it sound worse

My current insurancr company have decided not to give me a renewal quote.
So I have just purchased insurance with a better cheaper one, cheaper to the tune of just under £40 a month. This makes me very happy.
I'm also just about to cook myself a steak.

I had a breakdown cover bunch try and renew me on two vehicles for 400 quid for european breakdown cover. Found an alternative bunch who charged less than 100 for one. Renewals are a total scam.

I was (and still am until it expires) with Zenith. They put my premium up by 20 a month when I changed car from a Mk1 to a Mk2, which i thougt was a bit steep. My other half is with Zenith too, and they gave her a very good price on her Mk1 Eunos - but we will see what happens at renewal.
I have just taken out the policy with Tesco Bank, which starts in a few weeks and we will be running a few quotes for her too, provided they will cover an imported car.
Unfortunately I find myself in a situation although being in my late twenties, paying quite high premiums because I was a very big idiot a couple of years ago and have a not so desirable code on my licence. Ironically, they have all been cheaper than I paid on my modified UK mk1, so I assume the company I was with then (think TV!) were ripping me off massively because I never searched around elsewhere.

Took the white one for a run. Driving so well... really high-confidence on corners with the meisters.
Went to a kebab house to get some decent chicken shish.
Came home and ate said shish with my home-made guacamole.
Cracked open a can of root beer (A&W ftw - I really love this stuff)
Feeling rather happy with the state of the world.

Converted a horrible bottle of Gordon's into a lovely bottle of rhubarb gin over the past couple of weeks. First test last night was a success

Showed my friend his 3 year old Tailgate McNoIndicate 1 series m sport thing, isn't that much better than my 5. Admittedly it's probably more to do with his driving than the car but still. He couldn't keep up on the corners/winding roads. Fun drive

Got a call from the garage. The car has an MOT again! Said I'd walk up to collect it, chap said not to bother and he'll drop it off. Payment? Drop it in whenever. Pretty impressive service from a garage who only just met me on Thursday. Now I can take it out this evening
