Last night I fitted the Jass Performance upper shift boot. Prior to that I had the Doctor MX5 lower and upper, but the upper split and it looked unsightly (I don't have a gear gaiter). I quite like the retro look of the Jass Performance item and had read a couple of good things online so I ordered one to replace the Doctor MX5 upper. I was a bit disappointed with the Doctor MX5 upper as it had been fitted for less than 12 months and for it to split in that time frame makes it no better than the OEM item. The Jass Peformance item is expensive at £41.50 including delivery so I expected big things. When it arrived it looked the part and I was suitably impressed. When I came to fit it however, I was very disappointed. The holes don't line up and the stainless steel hardware provided is too short. I had to use my Dremel to enlarge the holes and get them to line up with the holes in the tunnel, and then use the fine sanding tool on the Dremel to reduce the thickness which considering the time taken and trial and error involved, made this item extremely overpriced. I had been considering a Jass Performance shorty console, but based on my experience with this item, I won't be buying it. I had the same issue with the Jass upper shift boot. I've yet to properly tinker with it as you have to get it to fit properly. Was very frustrating. Lots of ITB inspiration! Look forward to seeing the new build. If you need a hand or a step by step, let me know.

That'd be great, will be a while until I get round to it but they'll be appreciated, thanks.

I will be breaking this car, it's mostly really the body up for grabs.
The interesting/good parts up for grabs:
genuine Garage Vary sideksirts bootlid with ducktail rear bumper with bumper cut Mohair hood from Car Hoods in Chessington - fitted only 12 months ago and in really nice condition the custom centre exit exhaust - this is pretty snazzy and well made with V-bands front wings - a bit battered and surface rusty on the arches but importantly not rusty down at the bottom
The rest of the body and interior (bar seat/steering wheel) are also available from this car as well as the majority of the running gear and subframes + associated parts from the white car.
Obviously this isn't the for sale section and parts won't be available until they've been removed from both cars, post body swap, but if any of those parts pique your interest, please let me know via PM.
