Yeah. A standard mk2 1.6 should have 110. But it had just under 100 at the fly. So it's not a massive loss, I guess.
Apart from the pissing out oil (guide coming up here next weekend!), it pulls well and doesn't feel down on power, compared to my last two. Ho Hum.

Switched back to the standard pcv valve on the cam cover-side of my catch because my catch was catching *way* too much oil under the raw vacuum my engine was making. The standard pcv valve is half restrictor half valve. and without it my engine sucks too hard.

What lo pros did you get joey? Kev...sod knows what is happening with yours! Obviously thrown together with no clue what they were doing! Dont think my engine has really been messed with other than putting it in the boat. That and we put the cambekt off my old dead engine on it cos it was still pretty new The ones that Vindi was selling as an incomplete kit. I sourced some adjusters, which were a nightmare to fit, and then finally got everything in place on the car only to find the lids foul on the bonnet. What was meant to be a couple of hours this morning turned into an all day session with plenty of swears. Should point out that I in no way blame Vindi for this, it was sold as advertised. I just didn't expect this much pain getting them installed.

That's as close as they're getting.

A good session on the dyno at Skuzzle today, came away with 173hp at the wheels which I'm more than happy with. Thanks Nick great job.

Swapped my very leaky CAS O ring for a new one. The old one was rock solid!

I managed to smash something very hard onto the floor! Came off a roundabout with anger and hit a dip in the road at about 60 and BANG! No idea what it was. It's where the car squats so much. I think it might be the rear brace bar, or it was the the top of the wheels hitting the ceiling of the wheel well!
Anyone know how to reduce a car from squatting so much? I have Mesiters Zeta-s so fully adjustable.

I have Mesiters Zeta-s so fully adjustable. more ride height or more stiffness or making sure your wheel fits snuggly in the arch (not overly spaced out, or the wrong offset and needing more spacing) what sort of noise was it ? "graunching" or "bang" ? graunching is wheel contact on body because it's the sound of the wheel moving on the body. bang is your underside hitting something on the road.

It was a bang lol
Yeah I've heard the wheel rub in the well a few times before I set everything up properly, just thought as it was such a hard squat it could have sounded like a bang rather than a rub.
I don't want to add stiffness but I might raise the height a touch. Will adjusting spring pre-load do anything?

Went to play with boost solenoids, discovered the turbo V band was loose and the two halves were not that attached to each other. tightened it all back up and now hoping the turbine blades are intact.

swapped over the speedo drive in the gearbox. red wheel -> purple wheel to match my 4.3 -> 4.1 diff change.
Hopefully my speedo should be a bit more accurate now.

Yesterday I changed the coolant and spark plugs, and then broke my heater surround.
Really need to start a build thread!

Spurred on by zoona's post, I emailed Maruha about one of their speedo drives for my 4.6 final drive. Try to get rid of the 20% over reading I get currently...
Also ordered some cam seals from Mazda.
Not so much done to the car, as done for the car. Still counts.
