Got a patch welded on for the MOT tomorrow. Wish me luck... Good luck! Any reciprocal mot luck wishing is gratefully received! Thanks! Good luck to you too. Not used the garage before but comes recommended, so hopefully any issues can be rectified there and then. I want to go on a Sunday morning blat!

Nervous times... Sitting here waiting, I've been reading the poster on Corrosion and the MOT. "It may be necessary to carefully scrape and tap the area using the prescribed Corrosion Assessment Tool." Does this look suspiciously like a screwdriver and/or hammer?

It failed. On three things. Door doesn't open from inside (I got out though), split steering rack gaiter, and emissions. I asked them if they did the non-cat test as it's an import, they didn't, and denied there was a different test. So no point going back for the free retest. I think I'll just buy a cat, and live stress free... Anyone an MOT tester who would kindly run my engine number/vin and tell me what test the system tells them to do?

So frustrating, mine failed on emissions too, but managed to sort it with some fresh fuel, a bottle of redex and a good 20 minute thrash

Put it on a dyno. It was very bad. It leaked lots of oil. Next weekend cam and crank seals then

Bled through the rear brakes to renew the fluid, ably assisted by my 6 year old niece while her dad was on said ^^ 20 min trash! I adjusted the handbrake while I was at it. Yesterday I rebuilt both front calipers as well. Brakes are awesome now.

157 WBHP fairly chuffed with that. also I just fitted some nice shiney roadster sill covers and ACF50'd the sills from the top. Also I lost 3 of the plastic aerosol straws in my sills. Don't ask....

Dunno what the Canoe is up with my mk2 then. Apparently it's a mish mash of mk2 head and mk1 bottom, installed by some clownshoe. Probably the same one who tried to do the cambelt and left half the covers missing and the timing out.
I'm just going 6o buy a 90hp one again. At least I know it's got sod all power then

Fitted the lo-pro set I got. Worst. Kit. Ever. Fitment is so bad. Headlight lids now rub against the bonnet, so I'll need to get creative with some washers to space them out a bit.

What lo pros did you get joey?
Kev...sod knows what is happening with yours! Obviously thrown together with no clue what they were doing! Dont think my engine has really been messed with other than putting it in the boat. That and we put the cambekt off my old dead engine on it cos it was still pretty new
