Removed the old (ducked) rad from the FD which involves removing the battery, intercooler, air intake plus lots of prarrie canoety plastic bits just to get to a few 10mm bolts. Makes you realise how easy a 5 is!! Then had a wonder round the car, looked at MOT history (there isn't any) and did a HPI check (nowt on that either). Then plugged in a battery pack to see how the electrics were... All good! Although something fishy going on as the only MOT it's had was donkey's years ago which it failed and that was at 47k ish what I'm assuming was km but then odometer is reading 164k ?? Later found out that the cluster is a mazdaspeed one (carbon goodies!) and hasn't been clicked into the dash properly so me thinks it's a new (not new) instrument cluster and the true mileage/kilometres is actually around the 50k mark, fingers crossed I stumble across the old (not old) cluster in there somewhere. New rad to go in and a bit of fixing together and then we see if the baby purrs! Excited ehmergeeerd

Drove it down to the Buster Lang car show. Also got it properly cleaned, like inside and out. By a car wash. Cause I'm driving to France tomorrow!

Plan: Get on an overnight ferry tomorrow evening. Have some food, go to sleep. Wake up in St Malo. Drive to Taden, eat more food. Go to the beach, eat some ice cream. Not really much of a plan, mainly to chill and eat food lol

sorted out a bust LED in the dash centred the wheel boss because it was slightly to the left.. secured carpet by handbrake with glue gun greased the pin in the quick release replace the wiper motor with a new one nuke the centre console wanklight and discovered why the door sensors don't work.. (who goes and snaps these things off on purpose ?) And suddenly I want yet another set of 6uls. www.flyinmiata.com/15x8-949racing-6ul-bele.html

Bought a new one. 1990 1.6. Moon miles but solid body, arch and sills. Ideal little base car for future plans!

Thursday - went back to see Nick (top bloke) at Wheel Alignment Centre, Soton again. He re-set the alignment @ no charge this time after I'd released the rear cambolts which were corroded inside meaning on previous visit he couldn't adjust them properly without risking them snapping off. Feels a different car - much more planted and far less skittish on the rear end. So two tips:- 1) have Nick do your geo set-up sooner rather than later. 2) Spray everything with penetrating oil a few days before you go, especially inside the D part of the cambolts to penetrate into the bush sleeves. Cheers, Pewe.

Yeah it seems so, it carries on round like a lower lip too.
No idea whether it's custom or some obscure bumper, certainly not seen one like it before.
