Nice Do you find you're a better driver than most around you that are your age? And have crashed less? It annoys me that the government would rather restrict new drivers than actually teach them properly from an early age but that's a different thread... lol I definitely agree with this sentiment. Learning to control a car from an early age means you're more focussed on the road when you do get your licence. I was lucky that I grew up next to a massive pine plantation (for paper) so I had miles and miles of empty access roads at my disposal. I was learning to drift in our old Beetle before I had ever driven on a public road. Granted, drifting on a dirt road with a heavy engine hanging over the rear is not exactly difficult, but still! The point was I was completely comfortable with driving way before I ever got on a public road. Exactly! How is it better to learn to control a ton and a half of metal with complicated controls while learning to also read, anticipate and react to the other people around you doing the same?? It's beyond me while we don't have compulsory off-road training in vehicle handling and operations for six months before you're allowed on the road, or even better, through school so that you appreciate how a car and the physics operates. I'm slightly jealous of your growing up location - I managed a few early drive courses here and there, supplemented by lots of reading!

Yay! My mods worked. The rattle was coming from my exhaust moving too much and rubbing on some metal upon cornering. Since I put the jubilee clips around the rubber hangers it has stiffened it up loads. Now it never makes a noise! On the downside I can now hear a small trim rattle instead. Meh.
The lights are now better. Not like wannabes twin suns spouting disco lasers, but better than they were.
Dampers clicked one softer.
A great evening hooning around and another step in the right direction!

I'm soldering. Making a sub loom for my gauges. Wondering if I'll regret wiring up the clock to perm live... Bit miffed I haven't got enough black wire for the grounds actually. Using red instead. Ah well.
