But I won't be in the car if they're in car club I believe that they specify the cars used at the training events must be family cars with 4 seats, not two-seaters lol

After wasting yesterday getting no where with the oil pressure sender, thought I'd re-up the underseal on the frame rails before fitting my shiny sportdrive ones. Started to jack the car up and the canoeing trolley jack broke, so another completely wasted day hope nothing got hurt

Sitting in Protyre in Maldon, finally getting my full tracking and setup done. tracking x by s_worksair, on Flickr The guy working on the car said it was the cleanest five he's seen underneath. Apparently they regularly host an MX5 owners meeting so they see quite a few. I took the car out for a hustle. It is much more planted now with sharper steering too. I then found a quiet spot to grab a borderline autumn phone snap... Sep 2016 by s_worksair, on Flickr

I can't remember what you said about driving it in winter, but if it's that good, I'd stick it in a dry, well-ventilated garage and pick up a prarrie canoeter to run through winter!

hope nothing got hurt Thanks Atlex, luckily the wheels were still on and the part that broke was the just the bit that connects the arm to the plunger so it held pressure! Either way, not something you want to happen... Sent them pictures and they're replacing the parts for postage cost despite it being well out of warranty, so hopefully be back in action this week

Yeah maybe! My girl is looking to buy another car when my Alfa is gone, so I can always borrow that on occasion. But to be fair I only NEED to use my car once every two weeks to visit relatives. So it would not be a huge deal to jet wash it after such a run out. Also, when I do need to pop into London on those odd occasions, I could get a taxi to the station. But I do take your point.
But what canoe? I used to have a 106 GTi which was fun. But they are probably all canoeed now. Also a 145 Cloverleaf Alfa was a good budget car as well. Mmmm, we'll see.

One of the old Audi A4 quattro things? Is it the S2? 4wd and powwwaaa for cheap, although probably numb to drive.
I think just find a rusty mk2/mk2.5 with half a year of MOT and be done with!

Just had a drive with my little girl in the rain... windows down, top down, lights on, tunes on, both of us giggling and high fiving Edit: Forgot to say... my windscreen wipers started slowing down and then died. I unplugged the motor connector a few times and it works perfectly again. I suspect the contacts had got old / dirty. I will try this any time I ever get an electrical hiccup from now on!

Pretty sure it's the diff. My money is on CW+P. When you put it in gear it just makes broken noises and doesn't move

Foamectomy on the drivers seat. Noticed in the rain at Combe yesterday that with a helmet on the roof is a nuisance! Great cheap mod - I now sit lower in a better position.
