Small update, got the welding done on the boost pipes. Arc welding aluminium isn't easy, but think i have done a fairly good job. Need to finish smoothing off the welds then will either paint them or wrap them in that gold foil tape. Undecided yet. Pretty chuffed with the result. Next on the to do list, downpipe and afr gauge.

Lots more progress been made. I had been struggling to make the choice about drilling the sump in the car. Decided in the end to pull the engine and box and tackle some other jobs at the same time. Only had a day to do the work, not enough space the keep the engine out of the car. So had my brother and Dad over to help. The sump was drilled and drain fitted, two genuine half-moon gaskets and loads of sealer. Think the sump was leaking as it was a little damp all round so hopefully fixed that too. Whilst out, removed the rear coolant neck as I am fitting a coolant re-route which hadn't arrived in time to fit with the engine out. Bit annoying but not the end of the world. Not wanting to do things by halves and thinking I only want to remove the engine once.. fitted a CC ultralight flywheel and stage 3 clutch. Should future proof the car. Successful day in the end, got the engine back in and fitted the drain hose the following day. Will get some heat protection on the pipe. Keep tinkering in the evenings after work get a little bit done each time. The re-route turned up, wished it had been here for when the engine was out. Bit of a bastard to fit with the engine in. Really not impressed with the hose the comes with it but I think with a bit of cutting and some other bits of hose I already have it will fit much better. Main thing I've finished though is the intercooler piping and the inlet mani. Wanting to make it a bit more OEM and keep things tidy. Painted the inlet silver, ground the welds I'd done on the pipes smoothish and painted the pipes black. Welded in a take off for the IACV too which is barely noticeable. That's all for now, just going to keep plodding along and hopefully get it done by the end of May.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0CBUZanXfu that is all been a lot of head scratching and trial and error but it runs! and pretty damn well at that. Using the output from my afr gauge to DIY tune the speeduino in tuner studio which is working well so far, everytime i go out it pulls better. few small issues to iron out like the the fan not turning on but with it jumped in the diagnostic box it does. once warm it idles at 2k for some reason. but it really doesn't bother me at the minute as it is just so fun to drive. could listen to the flutter all day.
