That dash is sex I really want to get mine done but it looks a mission to get it all out lol Has the mirror made a difference, do you find? To me, the standard one is a bit small and also 'ghosts' really badly, where you can see what the 'dipped mirror' is reflecting at the same time as the same mirror, if that make sense? The dash is surprisingly easy to get out to be honest, think it's about 9 bolts in total, sure there will be a YouTube video on how to do it; if not then give me a shout when you want to do it and I'll write a guide for you. New mirror is awesome, I did think it'd be too big but it's perfect size; I know exactly what you mean, I got the blue tinted lens version so it dulls the lights behind at night 9 bolts? Sounds safe in a crash lol, but then given the crash structure of the early NA doors is pretty much the 5mm sheet steel of the door skin itself... I'll check out youtube, literally everything seems to be on there lol. It will be a while before I get it done due to other annoying bills! I will have a look for the mirror, I think, I like the smaller size of the OEM version but as it's not really that good... extra mirror size to hit my head on when getting in with the roof up is a trade off I'm willing to make!

Looks like a bit more work on the NA, reckon mine came out in around 45mins to an hour, for the NB you don't need to remove the vents etc Where are you from? If nearby then happy to help when you're doing it

Cheers for the offer! It definitely won't be for a while, though - missus last night worked out how much we have to pay out on various bits by the end of the year, and it is a worryingly big sum Need to sort out a second job ASAP!

Although it appears nothing much has been happening over the last few weeks something big is going down, parts are being collected and shipped from far and wide. Still in very good nick though, the shine for a 2002 car isn't shabby

And the "Horn sounding slightly rough" MOT advisory; I found out the bolt wasn't done up properly, literally tightened a bolt and it's good as new

...the shine for a 2002 car isn't shabby I thought that was a nasty scratch in the paintwork until I realised it was reflected scaffold poles on the building

Wow so this hasn't been updated in a few weeks! Replacement rad was sourced and all has been well, more bits have been arriving... been out the country for a few weeks and forgot to disconnect the battery so came home and no starty starty massive thanks to boringgit for coming out to save me, beer tokens earned! More to come but I've been busy playing with the 7 this weekend, too many toys

I've been away with work recently and again to see my famalam so nothing has happened with either of the cars this month, learnt my lesson with the battery this time though so came back to find the 5 started up first time with no issues (hurrah!).
Got a message whilst I was away to say a part which I've been waiting all year for has come into stock and is being posted out today, many excites! But with a social life it means I'm not going to get round to doing anything about it until (realistically) the new year.
Not a bad problem to have I suppose, all the bits are in hand it's just finding the time to get it done!
