Ooofff what a box of bits, I think this is also the route I'll be going to be honest. I can't remember if you still have the 1.6 or 1.8 ring gear or not, my memorys a bit prarrie canoe but I'm sure there was something regarding silly final drive ratios and can't remember what you have in there. What else in the box and, how much more did this hurt the wallet compared to the wishbones? that post was possibly a little confusing, the wishbones / bolts are for my car but the diff / Kazz plate Lsd is for someone else's car (mk2 thing ) and is being assembled with a 4.1:1 gerear canoet. my silver heap has a 3J plate Lsd with Kia Sportage 4.778:1 gerear canoet (from front of an early Sportage) I think an Lsd with bearings is the equivilent of 3 sets of top / front wishbones + bolts etc. - so twice what my Mot'd silver Eunos cost ~ 4 years ago they're moneypits Rich.

time for an update, maybe waffling? I've been working some long hours so not had any 5 time really, have done some more thinking though found someone selling some cf rampipes (trumpets / velocity-stacks etc.), they had a set (4) of 42mm and a set (4) of 45mm so I captured both sets unsure of make but seem nicely laid-up and all surfaces are smooth. the Jenvey tb's I have are 42mm so tries a set on (for scientific purposes obviously!) these are 100mm long and have flanges that an airfilter baseplate can mount onto. terrible artistic shot. tried on the car (previous test-fit with the alloy 40mm long trunpets) hummmmmmm.... but.... little close to the clutch master-cylinder... clearance IS clearance? so, the cure... either... 1, move the engine foreward? 2, redesign ALL hydraulic brake / clutch cylinder positions OR swap to internal setup? 3, buy Jenvey's 'straight' inlet manifold as this angles the throttlebodies upwards as opposed to the 'carburettor' type horizontal type... store.jenvey.co.uk/throttle-bodies-and-components/manifolds/vauxhall-manifold/manifold-vx-opel-xe-tb45-0-mv05store.jenvey.co.uk/pub/media/documents/drawings/MV05_WEB_ISS8.pdfso, manifold ordered Next. Try canting the engine over a little bit. It might just improve the clearance enough.

Try canting the engine over a little bit. It might just improve the clearance enough. I'm going to wait for the new (straight) inlet manifold but really need to shunt the engine foreward ~ 1/2" or more, don't think that would alter the ballance also, I have a rather nice (if maby a little large?) airbox to hopefully squeeze in underbonnet hopefully Rich.

still no manifold from Jenvey, will be phoning them to ask in a few days as on the 12th it will be a month since order other busness, bought a Brize lightwieght alternator brise.co.uk/product/brise-40a-compact-lightweight-motorsport-alternator-4si-40/?v=79cba1185463why? well, it's size answers a few questions with packaging - the 20xe engine conversion as Vauxhall have the waterpump below the alternator and coolant hoses from the 'rear' of the waterpump, there is also a coolant bypass hose from the front of the inlet manifold to the lower radiator hose and while the origonal Vauxhall design accounted for this I'm happy to have a little more clearance. also, it was at a suitable price and supposedly new so whats not to like? Rich.
