What are peoples thoughts on adding a ducktail? I am still undecided. I have a silver one ready to pop on. I will take some snaps tomorrow with and without. May help to see it with the bonnet cover at the same time. To be continued... Feel free to vote on whether you think a ducktail looks good or OTT

The answer is always yes, if the question is "should I put a duck tail on it?". Do it. Just look at the sexiness

Yours is super smooth and looks good. Mine would be more of a bolt on look, so less subtle.
I guess I am just so used to it's plain OEM rear end now. The opposite of the front haha.

With the bonnet bulge added it will look (somewhat... lol) less obviously mental, haha, so I quite like standard for the stealthy / sleeper look I also have the previously mentioned concerns about potentially increased downforce at the back creating nose-up stance and Lift at high speeds! I have no evidence to hand for this worry, other than to say it 'feels' like it makes sense... lol On a related note, I think I'm right in saying that Bruntingthorpe has a Top Speed day once in a while - which could be interesting

This metallic grey engine cover is temporary. I am waiting to see if it bubbles up or anything. I just happened to have this shade in the garage. Meanwhile... I ordered some proper Mazda 3L Silver in a large 500ml spray can from my bodyshop. I will do this myself in a week or so, assuming the cover still looks ok by then.

Fate just decided for me. Ducktail fell over and marked itself. Sod it. It's staying off. Mutha Ducker!
On a more positive note... Just got back from a drive. Feels like a different car with less rebound dialed into my dampers. Way less jiggly and springy. More plush and absorbing. Almost too comfy now ha.
Jobs left for me to do... Mount Satnav Take it in for a service to... - Check it all over - Fit new front brakes - Fix the throttle idle - Maybe fit a stage 2 clutch (researching part numbers)

Engine cover in silver will look the great, it's more subtle than I thought it would be. Is there vent on the rear?

Yes the back of it is open so it can let any pressure or heat out. When you are driving you can see it pretty clearly. The Holley is visible inside the shadows from the driving seat.
