The early NAs had the 'proper' oil pressure sensor but I don't think that would work on the V6 - I'm sure they must be able to fit one, though, and potentially make the dial gauge work properly?? (Another 5 minute job? lol) I think they are good to have because they help identify issues before they are terminal!

ps Any views on whether to get a gauge which measures up to 6.9 or up to 10 Bar pressure? They offer four versions.
Alternatively in imperial... 100 or 150 PSI

I’m looking at replacing the electric gauge with a proper capillary type on my car, less wiring Got a spare electrical sensor & gauge from a Eunos in the shead-of-dread somewhere if you need one? (No idea on its range though...) Rich.

Many thanks for your kind offer. Although my borderline OCD with interior details will mean I have no choice but to get a matching AEM 😁

I think the extra 50psi will be wasted on the 150psi guage... so get the one with a lower max.

100 psi is fine. I have one on the centre console, and a great big red oil pressure warning light where the oem 'gauge' was:

Is there any essential need for an oil temp gauge?
Also I guess the imperial PSI will be easier to read. Thanks for your input guys

Not essential, but I find it useful to know when it's up to temp before giving it the beans.

I ordered a BAR gauge in the end. This one looks the easiest to read with fewer numbers and lines on the dial. Will be a few weeks no doubt as it is from the USA, like all good things. Only another +£200. Plus import tax and postage. Another bargain lol
Once this arrives I will make a new center panel and place a dial each side of my phone holder.

It would also be useful for any track work - keeping an eye on oil temperatures can help prevent it getting too hot and not working as well as it should (which can have bad consequences for the engine, I would say!)

As usual, good belt and braces thinking. I just ordered a matching AEM temp gauge as well.
