Routed the ECU tuning cable nicely via the same route as the radio aerial cable. it now just 'appears' in the cabin.
I've cleaned up the WOT part of the fuel tables with the closed loop on for the non-WOT parts. (it goes closed for 80KPA + MAP pressures - i.e. loaded parts)
Now I'm in the process of cleaning up the tables in open loop.
So far, mostly good!. Some lean spots with high rpm / mid throttle, but actually it drives perfectly well.
What an ECU the Kpro is. Really nice. You just load the log into the map you made it with (same app - Kmanager) and then highlight the tables with the fueling delta (it tells you where to add or remove to match the AFR targets) then flip through the tables adjusting it.
12 tables total for fueling - 0/10/20/30/40/50 degree cam x high speed (vtec) or low speed (vtec off).

Sounds good, need pics. The kpro certainly does look tasty. Kinda wish I got that instead of the k100 but I'd be arsing about with it forever knowing me. I need to get my k20 mapped.
Where have you set the VTEC switchover at? Mines at 5200 at the mo.

I've got it set to 5200 at higher load and 5800 at lower load. that way you get the best torque out of the different cam profiles for different load levels.
The default is 5600 for the PRA EP3 ecu.

12 tables total for fueling - 0/10/20/30/40/50 degree cam x high speed (vtec) or low speed (vtec off). I've made a start on actually cleaning up maps tables. The steps are.. .. well, they're simple enough but time consuming :-) you tell the ecu to lock the cam to the angle of the table you want to tune and then set the transition (vtec!) to low or high depending on whether you want to tune low or high you need you set it high if you want to tune low cam for more of the range, then you go run the engine and log it as usual, make the adjustments.. as normal. repeat.. another 11 times to cover the full set of low cam/high cam, 0/10/20/30/40/50 degrees - probably 30 minutes mixed driving per angle/cam the funniest thing is that it feels like a b6 or bp with the locked cam angle then you unlock the cam and set the transition point to where you'll get the most benefit (ideally based on dyno run graphs transposed from each of the cam angles being locked again) Why does it take so long ? in normal driving you never hit enough points on all the tables because there's another table that tells it to use a range of cam angles at different rpm/load settings.

Brake Refresh is taking place. Urgently as I've been ignorning them. There's a good chance I wouldn't pass the import test with them in this state.
Normally I'd do this job myself but I've decided to ask someone else ( my local Initial:D Manga-on-the-walls garage ) to do it because I've just got too much paying work on atm.
New Pads: Hawk HPS up front, OE Toyota at the back. New Disks: Blueprint's finest New Lines: Goodridge New, Longer Wheel Studs Powerflex camber bolts for the rear and front steering links from Moog. To address the two outstanding alignment issues I have. (Hello OCD my old friend..)
I had a good look the rubber seals on the callipers/sliders and they look in really good condition. One less jerb.

I've finished the individual maps now to my satisfaction. Took ages. I'm now messing with the CAM ANGLE maps. I tried the stock cam angle map and it's .. MEH.
During the high cam angle map tuning (30/40/50 degree, vtec yo) with angle locked I was _really_ enjoying the butt dyno effect of being on vtec by 4K RPM. Butt Dyno tho, so not real numbers.
Still, I'm now going to push the cam angle map to give me quicker pickup and less latency to get to more angle on the high cam. Basically it takes a few bits of a second to rotate the cam in stock-ish form.
But I want now to have... 4500RPM VTEC And. I want more angle on the low cam so there's less angle to make up as we get into the vtec zone.
It 'just feels better' this way (lol)
Not going to dyno this car until the new intake mani is on and the fueling is sorted for that, realistically, that's two months away at least. patience...

stock vtec engagement is 5600 or 5800 mind you. ^

I had a good look at the radiator on this car and while it does keep the car cool, the bottom of it is 'chaffed to prarrie canoe with bugs' so I've ordered a new Denso unit :-)
Techno Pro Spirits - TPS - in Japan recon the standard Radiator is more than good enough.
I suspect with the length of pipework there's a load of extra capacity in the system unlike in shorter routings, and there's no 'hot thing behind the rad' in any case.

Also I got a somewhat more Touge spec alignment done, it's driving very nicely now. a Degree or two of Camber makes the turn in so much sweeter.

I went to present documents for importation test and now I'm just missing a CoC (cert of conformity) from Toyota.
also sorted out an earthing issue. Symptoms: unable to connect to the Kpro V4 ECU with USB (connect, disconnect.. every few seconds), and the wideband kept leaning out under steady state.
I had moved an earth (to fit a catch can) to a bad location with too much paint. So I busted out a little flapper wheel and the drill and that's sorted it.
Also I added some more earthing wires to the head of the motor.

I used a local asesoria when importing my Eunos into Spain, they only asked for the V5, photo of VIN plate and, most importantly, my bill sale showing purchase price, without which was told they would try and tax me at the original book price. They may have got the COC on my behalf. They did everything bar the ITV and plates.

Probably a case of petty officialdom at the ITV centre. Buy the ladies some flowers….

Passed the importation ITV today..
on the 2nd try, but same day.
first try CO was too high .. 0.70%
after dosing it with some cleaners and taking it up a rally course and back to the test centre.. CO 0.00%
they never noticed the K20A2 in the engine compartment.
