Sounds the part, is that with the enclosure on or just the filter?

It looks like you have cured the low end hesitation

Yesterday, rather than today, saw the transmission refresh talked about in some earlier posts - big thanks to my good friend for doing it, he's just sold his Mk2 so clearly still loves them - there was no swearing involved, honest! Anyway, will put more photos in my thread but changed the gearbox oil, turret oil, new upper and lower boots and the nylon cup, gearbox oil was actually pretty decent, the turret oil however.......... as beautiful as expected;

Hi folks, in answer to earlier comments. the car was running foam px500 filter on the vid. the stumbling at low revs has been cured, Its still a bit odd at high inlet air temps though. I had a splendid weekend at Werrinton Park Hillclimb. I had lots of fun but was a lot slower than a stripped out 300 HP turbo Mk1.
The fastest car in class was a modern Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe which had a few mods done to it. The driver was the oldest one in the class too.

Thought my heater matrix was leaking. Discovered I have a leak somewhere in the skuttle area where I did my coolant reservoir relocation.
Also discovered one of my rear wheel bearings is bad.

Did the front shocks & springs on my brother’s car. And then mucked about with the ride height. He says it’s a massive transformation compared to the std car.😁

I've done a few things lately: Herts County sprint on 9 May at Debden, near Saffron Walden in Essex. It was warm and sunny! Finished second in class, which is where I thought I would finish. No more speed events until July now, unless I go for Gurston Down in June, entries don't seem to be open yet. Did a 12-car rally on 14 May down near Basingstoke, which was brilliant fun - so good to get out in the lanes again. Was quite a tough event for my novice navigator as it was his first go at plot'n'bash, so we went OTL at one point and had to cut to the next TC. We finished where we started, as first novice crew, so not too bad a result. It was quite a long event with 12 sections and we didn't get home until 2am! Then last week I went up to Snetterton on Thursday for a track evening with the Fressingfield Oily Rag Club, organised by Javelin. There were about 8 Mk1s there, a couple of Mk2s and one Mk3, so plenty of fives - anyone on here? One car was a completely stock K reg Mk1 that had only done 35000 miles in its life, most of the others were modified or turboed, some even looked tattier than mine! You might be able to see the photos here: www.forc.org.uk/forc-our-gallery-2021.php It started raining just as we were lining up to do the sighting laps, which made it a bit slippery, but when I first went out and was braking for the second corner, I completely locked up and thought I was heading for the grass. This happened again a few times and eventually it became clear that someone had dropped oil in lots of places (over about 2 miles of the 3 mile track), so they red flagged the session and spent about half an hour treating it. The last half hour was good fun at least! I was using my 55 profile Rainsport 5s, which it probably wasn't really wet enough to need, but I thought it might be wetter from the forecast. Need to roll my arches (or get a suspension spacer) as the bigger tyres keep catching on them...

I like the idea of these - get to see some of the world while (apparently) not doing mental speeds!

I used to do 12 car & proper roadrallies on both sides of the car, pnb was a bitch (especially if on 3 maps ) but then it went to markedmaps in an effort to equilise the entries & also stop badly-plotted crews dissapearing accross the countryside / through blackspots not entered one for ~15 years now (10 for stages) can be good fun but also serious headwork & stress Rich.

Just received my genuine Mazda 'Eunos' badged blank key from Japan, as my one has a little crack in it so trying to avoid the inevitable!!
Does anyone know where I can get it cut? Is this something a normal key cutting place could do, due to the basic nature of it?
