I bought another roadster but the engine seems to be in the wrong place, and it also seems to be the wrong engine. Gave it a clean anyway.

Fitted a boost gauge, never had one before.
6psi @ 5500rpm m45 with reduction pulley. Don’t know if that’s good or bad...

I did an oil and filter change a radiator flush and fitted a new set of brake pads all round and set the handbrake back up before the car gets a new MOT. www.flickr.com/gp/151310882@N07/059w7vIts in great condition for a 1994 car, all original under there !!

We have aan old Xreg Renault Espace which lives in the road outside and is useful for running the grandkids about, but has hardly turned a wheel for the last year. Charged up the battery last week and checked all was well for the MOT today. It started on the button but sounded rather sporty. Turns out there are some helpful roadside mechanics who come round and add lightness to cars by removing a section of the exhaust for you that used to house the catalytic converter. Not impressed

Not impressed Yarp. Happened to someone I know too, but that was a softroader thing with good ground clearance (so easy to get under). Cats are apparently £££ weighing them in now. Of course, I'm sure that the scrappers (which definitely won't be run by one of their 'friends') are paying with cheque or bank transfer only to ensure audit trail...
