Took a punt and bought a SPAL slimline fan on E-bay that didn't list it's size, won it for £10.50, it's turned up and it's a 14" unit!
I don't even know if it'll fit yet, I know most run either dual 10" or 12".

Regrettably came to a decision, going to have to sell my car, shagged lower back and shoulder make ingress and egress a tad painful.

Ah that's a bugger, hopefully you find something just as fun.
It's the knees twisting when you get out that get me if I'm not careful.

I have a rear-in-first approach. fairly used to bending my head down to get in too now if the hood is down. I'm 5"10 and a catfunt with limited spinal mobility (rods) (tiny violin moment).
But back to 5s..
I've made a start on the white car head job. Cam cover is off. Unlike the cam cover gasket on the turbo, the cam cover gasket on the white car is a recent mazda OEM so I'll be trying to reuse it.
Now to get the cams out.
Working at night with decent lighting so it's cooler than during the day.

limited spinal mobility (rods) know the feeling anyway, cams are easy to remove, spring-pressure almost ejrects them for you Rich.

I must be in the minority lol, I'm more at risk of doing myself in from lifting weights than I am getting in and out of a bucket seat anyway. I've never really owned a traditionally comfortable car either . Oh, err yeah, fitted a rear lip (ball ache) and re-adusted the handbrake, again, after it went wonky post trackday.

The only way to egress with bucket seats & door bars is buttocks first, which seems to have solved my issues, so that's what I do now even when back to standard seats, less knee twisting It's not quite as hard to ingress/egress as an Elise/Exige

I didn't find the S2 Exige that bad really, the seat isn't that aggressive (sports bucket upgrade) hip bolster wise its only really the girth of the sills you have to step over (and not stand on!) that are the pain. I found myself a bit compromised in that car really, couldn't effectively heel and toe due to space in the footwell and my feet aren't even that big either (10.5 UK).
