Nothing (again) because it's raining and my Mk3 is outside ... please can someone turn the tap off? Ended up attaching a few steering wheels to the wall in the office ... wonder what my wife will say?🤣

New bushings due from Moss this week which should help. And they arrived yesterday (ordered Friday, so pretty good). No instructions on the window bushings about where the various washers should go, but YouTube saved the day again.
Cleaned the glass, fitted the bushing, lubed it up, put the glass back in, wondered why one of the bolts was much longer than the other. Put the plastic shield with black gunk back on, put the door card back on, went to attach the grab handle/armrest and wondered why one of the bolts didn't reach. Fuxake. Took the door card back off again, unscrewed the extra long bolt holding the glass in, replaced with the too-short one from the grab handle, sealed it all back up again and put the door card back on with the correct bolts holding the grab handle. Also fitted a new door latch bracket and delrin door bushing. Wasn't amazed at the difference in sound when shutting the door like everyone seems to be on YouTube when they fit them, wonder if I'll notice the difference when driving?
The passenger window now goes up and down nicely, won't be quite so embarrassing at the controls on Friday's rally! Trouble is, it's now the driver's side that's slow so I'll need to do it all again on that side. Maybe I'll learn from my mistakes this time?!
I *really* need to do my windows as they take about 20-30 seconds to go fully up or down lol

Spray bit of furniture polish into the rubber channels that the glass slides in. That will help for starters.

Took cam cover off. Checked cam alignment. Put it all back together again. Tried to start it (it wouldn't). Swore at it.

Hi Folks, I finally finished messing about with my Simpson Racing manifold to M2 Exhaust system. I had to fit an angled O2 bung adaptor. I got it all hooked up and had to charge the battery before I could start it up. It makes more noise than the Sportex back box. but that only registered 60 DB on an MSUK noise test. It is not going to be antisocial thank goodness. I now need to strip the manifold off the get it coated.

Hi folks, I have mentioned my Simpson Racing Manifold and M2 Motorsport Exhaust system. He is a clip of it all connected and up and running. I forgot to tighten a hose clip on the heater hose so it pops off right at the end of the clip. The sound is fruity but not too loud. The car is on a Sorn at the moment so a drive is out of the question for the time being. I still have to bolt the engine back onto its mounts as its just sitting on the subframe. I had to buy a 45 degree O2 bung to sort the position out.
One of the suprises is the tickover has jumped up without any adjustments done.

Got the bits I need to replace brake discs and pads - and change the rear calipers over to the new Sport ones I picked up recently. Rodders pads, MTEC grooved/drilled discs - had to go to BOFI for the pads as nowhere else seems to sell them, and ordered the discs from them too, but they were out of stock and thought it would be April until they came in. So went to MTEC direct and they had them in stock, which is a bit bizarre. Much cheaper too!
Also ordered what I hope are the necessary ends for the braided brake lines I will be making up myself. Nowhere seems to sell the banjos with the little noses that lock them into place in the caliper, so will have to hope that doing it up nice and tight will keep them there! Or see if I can cannibalise them from the original hoses.

ordered what I hope are the necessary ends for the braided brake lines I will be making up myself easy to do, cutting the hose is the hardest bit (& doing it without stabbing yourself on the sharp pointy-braid needles ) Nowhere seems to sell the banjos with the little noses that lock them into place in the caliper they're welded to the banjo's... iirc all the (expensive) pre-made kits don't have the locating lugs.... so will have to hope that doing it up nice and tight will keep them there! FT give/or take the copper-washer's 'crush' and the banjo-bolt's fine thread (LOW torque) shear strength thousands of rallycars have not suffered failure so you should be safe Or see if I can cannibalise them from the original hoses. good luck.... braided hose is addictive Rich.

I used to cut the hose by wrapping it in tape then using a slitting wheel on an angle grinder… still Spikey Canoeed my fingers, but got a nice square end on the hose.

I have had a few of Mx5s with braided hoses. One had a bought in kit. Supercharged one I used goodridge hose with metric on the body end and Wilwood threaded the other. Current ITB car has Goodridge DIY set including the clutch line direct from master to slave cylinder. The little horns are not essential but you will have to set the hoses up so that they do not get caught up anywhere they might get damaged.

Today I Have, Checked the hose clamps are tight !!!! Taxed the Eunos for a year and then bolted the engine back onto the mounts, tightened up the manifold bolts after a heat cycle and the exhaust clamp bolts. Re fitted the catch tank, manifold heat blanket, catch tank and strut brace. I still have to top up the radiator water and burp it. I then need to take some pictures of the underside for the insurance valuation before it goes back onto its wheels.

I started putting the hoses together last night, with the calipers still off the car, so I just did the banjo ends. They went on OK, I only spiked myself with the braid a couple of times... Also checked that the slider pins were OK and greased them up, and checked that the piston adjusters worked and the pistons moved OK - they did. Got the calipers off a random on Facebook marketplace so wasn't sure how much work they'd need to get going, but all seems good. Will see about putting them on the car tonight, along with the new pads and discs.
