Tried to get it to start and cleaned the contacts. Now I think I need to replace a busted relay. It's shrieking at me.

Thought I'd bled the clutch but I've not, have not made the sufficient sacrifices to the zoom zoom gods!

'twas actually yesterday, but cobwebs were blown out, tyres were smoked and a few cones were clattered at a very drizzly, cold and sometimes windy Smeatharpe. Jasper in the background, Ricky had already departed by the time I remembered to take a snap.

Spent all afternoon stripping out the wipers and motor, cos even on fast wipe it’s painful to watch! Cleaned and greased everything including getting the linkage to move really nice and easy. Put it all back together and it’s exactly the same🤣🤣 Seems super slo mo wipers were fitted as standard!!

(assuming they are better! lol)

Took delivery (well collected) this today. Took the DHL guy 15 mins to find the box in the warehouse. Am hoping to fit either this weekend or next.

Today mathiew I’ve spent some more money taking a a gamble on an eBay purchase of an ‘XTD’ lightweight flywheel (and dreading the import duties / parcelfarce’s ‘handling charge’ that will come ‘free’ with it ) looking for for a dead mk2 as donor for suspension components and diff parts as my car still has the early ‘6”’ diff... the diff is getting changed due to a lucky find of a 4.77778:1 final-drive (from a Kia Sportage front diff) to be combined with a Ford / Tran-x straight-cut, close ratio gearbox with a 2.39:1 first gear (based on the t9 Sierra 5speed gearbox) One day i'll have enough money to buy brand new from DaveFab Rich.
