Are you tuning this yourself? Or are you sending the logs to a pro tuna? Mixed Mode. I'm doing a lot myself but checking things with a mate who is a protuna, professor of motorsports :-)

I see, I could use some advice on that as I've got a working map and a wideband installed but not sure how I go from using the data I've logged to actually making positive tuning changes in meite...

Does your ecu not have an auto tune feature?

Does your ecu not have an auto tune feature? I've still on the ME221 early revision and I don't really trust the autotune. heh. I'm trying the WB LTT though now, but I'm making it super conservative.

It appears that 3-4 days of repeated smashing 7.5K and piston soaking with my various gins and juices (insert dermatitis and fertility warning and picture of dead fish here) has done the thing.
Today it was smoking less when I took it out and then it was smoking less again when I started smashing it after warmup on the hilly section and then .. I brought it back towards home and gave it a bit more.. and.. it's not smoking on over-run now.
If it continues to not smoke, I'll do a write-up of what I've used (and how) to try and free the rings up. It's been quite experimental.

I opened up the camcover again and checked the lash, it's still in perfect spec. nice circular wear marks around the solid bucket tops showing that they're actually spinning in the bores as they should. I torqued the cap bolts up a snidge.. and there.

Used to put a .003 taper across cams to encourage the tappets to rotate in their bores.

Been out working on some transient lean AFRs which were affecting cruise with some pinging.
My engine's got very loud injectors at a specific RPM but any other noise like that is legitimate knock and I can hear it coming from the engine (centre left) rather than the intake (right).
The injector noise stayed even when I changed injectors - it's a resonance in the intake manifold at about 3K with 20% throttle.
I've ended up richening up a load of the low TPS figures. 2-22% TPS all need a bit of work in different places.
This engine seems happiest with AFRs under 14.
Not bogging at all now. AE AE!
