I owned a BRG V12 XJS ages ago. Was a total barge which didn't fancy changing directions much. But kinda cool. People liked it and chatted to me at petrol stations. Unlike the black Subaru PPP I had at the same time. Slightly different images lol.

Done the annual service on this. I've fitted lightweight pulleys from FP to replace the Alt and Water Pump ones. They're genuinely lighter but I doubt it'll make much difference http://instagram.com/p/B4-QKWfHbev Not much else to report other than that Cordless Impact Guns are amazing.

Far fairer than our own MOT IMO, independently run, and nothing to gain from failing you. Some of the agricultural stuff that went through my local centre in Xativa used to amuse me.

Noticeable improvement on the new bearings. The old ones weren't totally gone but they weren't as smooth as they should have been.
She's so much fun.
Now to retune my handbrake setup.

Does that mean you'll be wanting to up the power on this? If only 220whp makes it interesting now? What about the ITB car?

I put in new wilwood rotors to replace the corrado ones, along with new BP10 pads (to replace the ds2500). The corrado rotors and ds2500s were showing their age - one side had too much corrosion on the outer lip and the outside of the pad was worn away instead of making contact. The maker of the hats, who will not be mentioned (and is not Wilwood), managed to muck up the ID, which actually needs to be 55mm close to the face of the hub - the 54.1mm that is documented is for the wheels, and the ID of the hats was more like 53.7mm, as the ID comes down to that as you get away from the hub face.. basically the hats as is weren't remotely able to fit up against the hub face they were bored like a spacer rather than a rotor hat. I tried to find a machinist to just bore them out but it was a pain in the ass and I got no responses for such a small job so ended up modifying the ID myself with rounded-faced rasps/files and sandpaper. time consuming... and rasps get stuffed with ali as you remove the material so I had to constantly clean off the rasp. Would have been a 5 minute lathe job her hat, but it took about an hour of rasping per hat by hand. One day, I'd love to own a lathe. And enough space to have the lathe.. I cleaned up the hubs with sandpaper and the disks ran true as they should. Interesting experience bedding in the pads and disks together - I got *loads* of pad judder until they stared bedding in. the first minute of gentle braking was a terrifying but once I got it up to speed and then started the bedding process, it was fine. Process was per the wilwood spec - 10 very mild decelerations to get the system up to temp followed by 8-10 harder (50 to 25mph) decelerations then drive the car a bit to let the rotors and pads cool down uniformly, avoiding stopping if at all possible. I understand the BP10 is a bit less aggressive than the DS2500, but that should be fine in a 1 ton car.

I also didn't take more than it took to get it to fit, I kept checking the fitment very regularly.

Sounds like a ball ache to essentially get some rotors and pads on, I'm guessing you couldn't just get the supplier persuaded to fix their mistake?
Might need to rethink my pad situation at some point too, the Rodders pads are great but the dust might prove to be a problem with the new wheels as theres no information on what composition the pads are made of. Hmm.
Any news on the cams for the white car?
